By day Richie Weeks worked at the post office, but by night he was a singer, songwriter, musician, and producer. He has a huge impact on the New York disco, boogie funk and house scenes from the 1970s and well into the 1990s. He released on plenty of different labels and now this collection shines a light on a bunch of his previously unreleased tunes. They are all served up in a DJ-friendly format and focus on his work in 1978 and 79 and they soon take you back to the sound of New York nightlife at that time even if you didn't live it the first time around. Like Volume 1, these are well-crafted songs with slinky basslines and infectious grooves.
